Download VoIPerized 2.0
VoIPerized has been updated to version 2.0. As the name suggests, this is a Voice over IP (VoIP) program, which allows conversations with other computer users using this software. It uses the open-source Speex audio codec, which means that the sound quality is higher than with a regular phone call. Furthermore, the latency and processor usage are very low, and the bitrate can be adjusted as desired. Version 2.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up and now has an even lower latency, can be set up with an unlimited number of people for a conference call and can now choose the port that VoIPerized uses. The full changelog shows the following changes:
Changelog:
- The code has been completely rebuild.
- Latency is now approximately 140ms instead of 150ms.
- Complete new interface.
- VoIPerized now supports conferencing with an unlimited number of people.
- Unlimited number of people in contact list.
- VoIPerized now only uses a single UDP port, instead of also a TCP port.
- You can now choose which port VoIPerized uses.
- A lot of features can now be changed in the preferences window.
- Bitrate scale now displays the real transmitted bitrate and not the encoding bitrate.
- You can now see which contacts are ‘online’ (You must have VoIPerized running).
Note: Version 2.0 is not backwards compatible.
