XPero released version 1.0 of Vize yesterday. Vize is the Vista counterpart to XPize, a program that brightens up the Windows user interface. It is not a shell over the existing interface, but it directly modifies more than seventy system files to adapt images, icons and animations that have sometimes not been modified since Windows 95, 98, 2000 or XP. That way, Windows Vista will look even slicker. Vize works with any 32-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, is easy to install and just as easy to restore to its original state. The difference before and after installation is not nearly as big as with XPize, since Microsoft has paid a lot of attention to the appearance of Windows Vista.
