In recent years, virtualization has been increasingly used in business. Well-known names include Xen and VMware. The latter has conquered a solid position in the market with its VMware Infrastructure 3 setup. Good documentation is very important for setting up and managing such an environment. Veeam Software therefore develops the Veeam Reporter program, which can automatically create an overview of a VMware Infrastructure 3 environment in a Microsoft Visio diagram, Excel workbook, Word document or an Adobe PDF. The developers have released version 2.0 with the following announcement:

I’m pleased to inform you that today Veeam Software released a new major version of Veeam Reporter 2.0 for VMware Infrastructure 3 (VI3).

Veeam Reporter 2.0 collects and documents every detail of ESX or VirtualCenter configuration. It offers users the bird’s eye view of the entire VMware Infrastructure from Network (IMPROVED), Storage (IMPROVED), Configuration (IMPROVED) and VMotion (NEW) points of view. In addition to Visio reports the new version adds new reports in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe PDF which are convenient for different tasks: analysis, planning, inventory, change management, troubleshooting and documentation.

In addition, Veeam Software announces today the new Veeam Consultant License Program which is designed for Veeam channel and consulting partners. The Consultant License is a low cost, time limited license restricted to a single customer engagement. Veeam partners can take advantage of Veeam products at greatly reduced prices.
