UVK stands for Ultra Virus Killer, but that doesn’t quite cover it, because this program can do much more than just remove viruses and malware. UVK can also solve various Windows problems, for example with processes, drivers or programs that start with Windows. Scanning computers uses external programs such as Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, SuperAntiSpyware and HitmanPro, which explains the download of only 5MB. However, the program is not recommended for the novice user and is similar to D7 in that sense. The following changes have been made in this release:

• Added compatibility with Windows 8. UVK is now fully compatible with the new Windows operating system.
• Improved the scan speed. All scans are now up to 10 times faster. Most noticeable changes are in the system booster, Alternative streams and Recent traffic jams scan.
• Improved the Register system DLLs feature.
• Improved the Immunization feature.
• Improved the Reset group policies feature.
• Updated and improved the Log analyzer.
• Made some other small improvements.
