Download UVK 2.4.4.0

UVK stands for Ultra Virus Killer, but that doesn’t quite cover it, because this program can do much more than just remove viruses and malware. UVK can also solve various Windows problems, for example with processes, drivers or programs that start with Windows. Scanning the computers uses external programs such as Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, SuperAntiSpyware and Hitman Pro, which explains the download of only about 5MB. However, the program is not recommended for the novice user and is similar to D7 in that sense. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes have been made:

• General internal debugging.
• Re-enforced the Reset security and ntfs settings fix. Now it also grants registry access to the Administrators ad System groups.
• Re-enforced the Fix install problems fix. Now it also grants the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT key access to the Administrators ad System groups.
• Re-enforced the power of the Process manager. Now it tries to take ownership and grant access to the processes before killing them.
  Added protection to the UVK process. Now it can only be killed by a member of the administrators group.

• General internal debugging.
• Replaced several WMI functions by windows api calls. This resulted in a big performance and stability improvement.
• Added context menus to search for files and MD5 hashes in ThreatExpert.com to the Process manager, Startup entries and Drivers/Taskssections, and also the Log analyzer.
  Added bios information to the System Info section.
