Download USB Drive Letter Manager 5.1.0.0

A new version of USB Drive Letter Manager has been released. This versatile program allows you to manage USB devices. For example, it is possible to assign drive letters only when a medium is inserted into the drive, which is useful for multi-card readers. You can also specify which drive letters may or may not be assigned, depending on the type of USB device, the size of the drive, the USB port used, and the name of the volume. In addition, the application indicates by means of a speech bubble in the system tray which device or volume has been added to the system with which drive letter. More information can be found in this instructions are being found. USB Drive Letter Manager is free for private and educational use, but companies and organizations are required to pay a fee. New in version 5.0 is, among other things, that an icon in the speech bubble can now indicate the speed of the USB port and whether a device has been ejected safely or unsafely. • Bug fix: In sections as [OnArrival] the lines system, elevated and restricted where always resolved as 1 if present
• Bug fix: In sections as [OnArrival] with only one open= line options set before the open line had no effect

• New: Flush and DismountOnSleep does not wake up sleeping drives

• Bug fix: _edit-ini.cmd failed to create a USBDLM.INI when it had no write privileges; now Admin privileges are requested
• Bugfix: USB speed in the balloon tip was wrong when the USB port number could not be determined, for instance if in the location information there isn’t something like Port_#0002.Hub_#0003 or the address value is zero. Now the port number is determined by means of the USB API.
• Bug fix: The section [NetworkLetters] did not work in V5.0.0 if there was not section [DriveLetters]
