Download Ultradefrag 1.4.0
Dmitri Arkhangelski today released version 1.4.0 of Ultradefrag. This open source defragmenter can run on Windows NT and above, and downloads are available for processors with an i386, AMD64, IA64, or EM64T architecture. The program has a graphical user interface, but can also be controlled from the command line. Ultradefrag is a no-nonsense program: the appearance is not customizable and there are only a limited number of languages. Another striking fact is that the download is not even 300KB in size. Below are the changes that have been made to the program since the previous entry in the Meuktracker:
Changes in version 1.4.0:
- i18n support was added
- Gui program was translated into Hungarian and Russian languages
- Documentation was improved
- Program settings were moved to one file
- Gui design was improved and simplified
- Console programs option -l was added
- Many significant bugs were fixed (possible buffer overflows)
Changes in version 1.3.4:
- New installation location: %windir%\UltraDefrag
- Driver code was simplified
- Most stable release at this time
