Ultimate Boot CD is a collection of a large number of (diagnostic) programs on a single CD-ROM to check and test various components of the computer. The program uses its own operating system and can therefore be booted from the CD or from a memory stick. Today the makers released a new Ultimate Boot CD. This time it concerns version 4.0, which via this page can be downloaded from various mirror servers. With the arrival of Ultimate Boot CD, the necessary bugs have been squashed and the included programs have been updated with the latest versions. What has changed can be read below:

Changelog 4.0:

• This version uses syslinux V3.36 instead of CDShell due to the latter’s compatibility issues and lack of new development.
• Removed INSERT/UBCD as integration of a Linux distro is thought to be best left as a customization option. This means there is now only one version of UBCD instead of two (basic/full).
• Introduced experiment support for writing UBCD to a USB memory stick (UBCD2USB).
