Download Ubuntu 13.04

On Thursday, version 13.04 of Ubuntu Linux was released. A new version is released twice a year and, as with AMD’s Catalyst drivers, the release year and month form the version number. At first glance, not much has changed in version 13.04. A lot of work has been done under the hood and that results in, among other things, that the desktop feels smoother. We also see various graphic improvements. However, for the really exciting stuff, like the Mir display server and improved privacy settings in Dash, we’ll have to wait until version 13.10. • New Social Lens
• New Sync Menu
• Unity style session dialogs
• Workspace item removed from launcher
• Updated Firefox, LibreOffice and File Manager, among others
• Linux kernel 3.8.8
