iXsystems has released version 12.0-U6 of TrueNAS. Version 12.0 of TrueNAS is the first release that merges the codebase of the old FreeNAS and TrueNAS and is now released under the name TrueNAS Core and TrueNAS Enterprise. With TrueNAS, a networked computer can be used as network attached storage. Additional functionality can be added with the help of plugins. TrueNAS 12.0-U6

TrueNAS 12.0-U6 was released today and is now the recommended update for even the most conservative users of both TrueNAS CORE and TrueNAS Enterprise† With this release comes the resolution of approximately 90 issues, including:

• User/Group default quotas have been updated to display properly
• NFSv4 HA improvements
• More extensive SMB regression testing with various SMB options
• SMB shadow copies have been fixed (bug in U5)
• OpenZFS dedup performance improvements by defaulting to SHA-512 algorithm
• Better webUI snapshot filtering by name
• UI improvements for disk temperature monitoring and UEFI booting
• Ongoing improvements to UI & middleware performance for large drive counts
• Improved UI for plugin updates/upgrades
