Cerulean Studios released a new beta release of version 5.0 of the instant messaging program Trillian Astra on Monday. Trillian Astra allows chatting with users of a variety of instant messaging and social networks, including Windows Live, ICQ, Skype (text only), Twitter and Facebook. At the moment, Trillian Astra is available for Windows and iPhone, and there is a version that runs in a web browser. In addition, there are beta clients for Mac OS X, BlackBerry and now for android. Version 5 mainly improves social media capabilities. In addition, there is support for Foursquare and synchronization of data between the different clients is possible.
