Download Transmission 1.76

Transmission developers released version 1.76 of their eponymous program on Saturday. Transmission is a lightweight cross-platform open source Bittorrent client with a simple interface. The program was developed for use under Mac OS X, but the download page also includes versions for Linux, Solaris, and FreeBSD. The changelog for version 1.75 mainly shows bug fixes:

• Fix 1.61 build failure on systems with new versions of glib but older versions of gtk
• Fix tracker address display error in the torrent Properties dialog

• Fix client from closing, rather than closing to the system tray, when clicking X
• Cannot open a torrent in KDE4 with right-clicking
