Download Total Commander 8.01 final

The final release of Total Commander version 8.01 has been released. This program can be used as a replacement for Windows Explorer. Splitting the image in half makes it easy to copy files, but the program can do much more. There are various ways to modify files, there is a built-in ftp client and a multi-rename tool, and there is support for a large number of compression formats. Furthermore, the functionality can be plugins be expanded. Since version 8.00 there are separate downloads for 32bit and 64bit environments. Version 8.01 contains almost only bug fixes.

There are no major new features in the program itself, but the 64-bit installer and CAB unpacker in TC now also work in 64-bit Linux with WinE.

Currently there aren’t many 64-bit plugins yet – I will publish them when they become available. Therefore you should keep the 32-bit version for the moment if you use plugins regularly.
