Download TortoiseSVN 1.5.6

The developers behind Tortoisesvn released version 1.5.6 of their program on Tuesday. Tortoisesvn is an open source Subversion client and is intended for version control. Version control is especially useful, if not indispensable, when working on a project with multiple developers. The program integrates itself as a shell extension into Windows and can be used on its own or in combination with an ide. Version 1.5.6 of Tortoisesvn ships with Subversion 1.5.5 and contains no new features. However, the necessary bug fixes have been made and this version has been given the stamp ‘maintenance release’. Below you will find everything that has changed since version 1.5.4:

Changes:

• Disabled capieng again – users were annoyed.

Bug fixed:

• possible segfault in TSVNCache when shutting down windows.
• The client-side hook scripts weren’t started if only deletions were committed or updated.
• The “show log” was shown for added files in the status list control.
• Files/Folders with ‘%’ in the name could not be renamed in the repository browser.
• Reverting files could have removed associated folders.
• The OK button in the checkout dialog was sometimes disabled.
• Creating a tag/branch from the repository browser didn’t work if the target folder did not exist.
• Under rare conditions, log reported revisions twice
• Log for branches, tags etc. could be slow if the log cache is incomplete and the repository has many revisions
• Reported RAM usage of log cache too large
• The “delete unversioned items” command only worked for single paths. If multiple items were selected, the dialog showed an empty list.
• The properties dialog would show the url with backward slashes when started from the repository browser.
