The Dude is a free to use network monitor for the Windows platform and is able to recognize the connected network equipment in a subnet. The found devices are then graphically displayed in a kind of map, so that a visualized version of the network is available. In addition, The Dude indicates which services are running on the various equipment and a warning can be given when a service is no longer running. Mikrotik has updated The Dude to version 3.3. The new version is up this location ready to be downloaded. What has changed in this version compared to the previous release is unknown: the changelog has not been updated at the time of writing.
