The more than twenty-year-old email client The Bat! of the Moldovan company Ritlabs is slowly gaining ground. The new director, Stefan Tanurkov, who had previously been eliminated in a power struggle with his old partner Maxim Masiutin, is fully committed to modernizing his brainchild.
For example, the HTML rendering engine of Chromium has replaced the outdated internal engine and that of Internet Explorer and there is now also a dark mode. The program has also undergone several changes in the interface and really looks much fresher than before. In version 9.3.3 the following changes and improvements have also been made:

- Filter condition to look whether message tag list is (not) empty

- Filters: date condition in a block could cause errors on reopening
- Last HTML Link was still displayed at the HTML viewer’s bottom after loading another message
- Closing Mail Dispatcher was not closing POP connection
- MicroEd: Vertical scroll bar was not shown when replying a long text
- Deleted shortcuts were not properly stored/restored
- Set CEF user-agent field to avoid GMail login failure
- UTF-8 decoding could fail on texts with emojis
