2Brightsparks has released a new version of SyncBackFree. This program is the simplest and therefore also the free version of the backup software that this company has to offer. In addition to making backups, SyncBackFree can synchronize data. This can be to a location on the same or another disk, or to another medium, such as a CD-RW or USB stick, or to an FTP server or zip archive. In addition to this free version, there are also SyncBackSE and SyncBackProwhich for 29 and 46 euros respectively additional functionality offer. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

New:

• In file and folder selection window can now open selected folder in File Explorer via pop-up menu
• In file and folder selection window there are new main menu options to ignore or include all new files and folders

Fixed:

• Windows 10 task scheduler error: The requested operation requires elevation (0x800702E4)
• Visual issues related to high DPI
• Search in profile configuration
• GROUPNAME and VISUALGROUPNAME variables were not set to an empty string if not run as part of a group
• CRITICALERROR variable now set in Run After
• The File and Folder Selection tree was not using the display filters

Updated:

• The main menu option to only show groups and profiles not in group is now enabled by default
