Download Sumatra PDF 3.1

Version 3.1 of Sumatra PDF has been released. This open source program allows viewing of various document formats, including pdf, chm, and DjVu. In addition, it can handle epub and mobi ebooks, and cbz and cbr comic books. Compared to Adobe Reader, it is very light and therefore also suitable for older computers. New in version 3.1 is, among other things, that a 64-bit version of the program is now also available and all documents will be reopened if it was previously closed with multiple tabs open. Furthermore, documents are printed as images again, which should improve the quality of the printout. The complete changelog for this release looks like this:

Changes in this release:

• 64-bit builds
• All documents are restored at startup if a window with multiple tabs is closed (or if closing happened through File -> Exit); this can be disabled through the RestoreSession advanced setting
• Printing happens (again) always as image which leads to more reliable results at the cost of requiring more printer memory; the “Print as Image” advanced printing option has been removed
• Scrolling with touchpad (eg on Surface Pro) now works
• Mmany crash and other bug fixes
