Download SugarSync 2.0.1

The final release of SugarSync version 2.0 has been released. This online storage and synchronization service is comparable to services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive and iCloud. For example, SugarSync can be used to make a backup or to easily access files from different places. A free account gives access to 5GB of storage, with options to expand it. For a small compensation this can be 30, 60, 100 or even 250GB. More information about the possibilities of SugarSync is here can be found and compared with other services here.

Clients exist for various mobile platforms, Windows and OS X, but not yet for Linux. In addition, there is also a Outlook plugin. In version 2.0, it has become easier to store and share folders in the cloud. Furthermore, a search function has been added and the saved files now appear as a drive in Mac Finder or Windows Explorer. Finally, the user interface and web app have also been overhauled and given a new look.

SugarSync 2.0 Release Notes

SugarSync Desktop app, version 2.0.1 for Mac and Windows is available for download. Existing customers will automatically be prompted to update.

In this release:

• SugarSync 2.0 is no longer beta and has been released for General Availability (GA).
• Fixed an issue with Windows in which the client was intermittently crashing and/or not starting when the computer started.
• Addressed a range of other issues aimed at further improving performance and stability.
• Addressed compatibility issue regarding the SugarSync Drive.
• A range of visual and usability enhancements in our new SugarSync for Business product, improving the overall user experience.
