R2 Studios has released version 3.0 build 322 of Startup Delayer. This program can modify the Windows startup process so that the user can access the desktop more quickly. One of the reasons Windows is slow to start is because many programs and processes start at the same time. Some of these can be started a little later, such as e-mail programs and quick launchers for, for example, OpenOffice.org and Adobe Reader. With Startup Delayer it is possible to specify the order of the programs to be started and to assign them a waiting time. This allows faster access to the desktop, while less important programs are loaded in the background a little later. Since build 320, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in Startup Delayer 3.0 build 322:

• Added support for Launching an application only if an internet connection is available
• Added a new tab to the Options window and shifted some Options around
• Right aligned the buttons on the Notifier
• Increased the default font size slightly
• Updated Startup Delayer to use .net 3.5
• Disabled error about accessing reg profile during installation (Eg: UpdateUser from nvidia)
• Fixed Install deletes so that they correctly handle access denied errors
• Fixed rare input crash on Windows XP when formatting columns
• Fixed a few issues related to access permissions
• Fixed attempt at launching an application when the file couldn’t be found
• Added url encoding when querying external websites for information on applications
• Fixed race condition in the Launch timer when launching applications as administrator

Changes in Startup Delayer 3.0 build 321:

• Fixed crash on startup when you use ‘Show Launch Process Window on Startup’
