Download StarCraft 1.15.2

The real-time strategy game Stracraft is now ten years old, but developer Blizzard Entertainment still supports the game. Especially since the game is still very popular in South Korea. Patch 1.15.2 is a special one. It is now possible to play the game without the official CD in the player. The patch works for Starcraft and also for the Starcraft: Brood War expansion.

Blizzard has announced that it will soon release a similar patch for Warcraft III and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.

Installing the patch is not enough. The additional instructions for PC are:

• Show extensions of known file formats
• On Starcraft, copy “Install.exe” from the Starcraft CD to the Starcraft folder on the PC and change the name to StarCraft.mpq
• At Starcraft: Brood War, copy “Install.exe” from the Starcraft: Brood War CD to the Starcraft folder on the PC and change the name to BroodWar.mpq

The additional instructions for Mac are:

• Show extensions of known file formats
• On Starcraft, copy the “StarCraft Archive” folder from the Starcraft CD to the “Starcraft Files” folder within the Starcraft folder on the Mac
• For Starcraft: Brood War, copy the “Brood War Archive” folder from the Starcraft CD to the “Starcraft Files” folder within the Starcraft folder on the Mac
