Download SRWare Iron 16.0.950.0 for MacOS

Google Chrome is a popular browser, but some people are concerned about privacy. However, the source code is public and there are also some derivative browsers. Iron, from the German company SRWare, is one of them. Iron is based on Google Chrome, but with some differ. For example, during installation, Google Chrome creates a unique number with which the browser can be identified and information is sent to Google for Google Suggest. Iron doesn’t do this. Furthermore, Iron has an ad-blocker as standard, which must be added to Chrome as an add-on, and the User-Agent is easier to adjust. Version 16.0.950.0 was previously before Windows available, only later for Linux and now also for Mac OS X. The changelog for this release looks like this:

The privacy.ini feature was also improved, it is now possible to install new extensions while it is running
