Slim Devices, part of Logitech, has given the program with which a Squeezebox can be controlled a major overhaul. Not only has the version number been increased to 7.0, the name of the program has also been changed. This program used to be known as Slimserver, but it has now been renamed Squeezecenter. The Squeezebox is a device capable of receiving Internet radio and music in various compressed and uncompressed formats wirelessly or via Ethernet and presenting it to an amplifier or speakers in analog or digital form.   • Renamed SlimServer to SqueezeCenter
  • Updated localizations (EN, DE, ES, FR, IT, NL)
  • Added support for WavePack file format
  • Added SqueezeCenter support for online music services

    • MP3 tunes
    • Last.fm Audio Scrobbler
  • Preferences integration – preferences for SqueezeCenter and SqueezeNetwork are synchronized
  • View and switch players that are connected to SqueezeNetwork from SqueezeCenter
  • Syncing of multiple players has been greatly improved – Players are now able to stay in sync with each other even in the face of poor network conditions or while playing long radio streams
  • Brand new default skin and UI design
