Thanks to Anonymous: 55049 we learned that version 1.0 of the SpyBot program has been released. SpyBot, like Ad-Aware, is a program that prevents and cures spyware programs. The list of spy-ware programs discovered by this program is here to find. Below is a list of changes since the last version:

New features in version 1.0: (all changes since 0.95 public version)

Most buttons replaced with Office 2k style toolbars

Office/Outlook style toolbar for easier navigation

Secure (File) Shredder (in Tools section)

Settings combined in one big configuration tree

Improved bot info section

Basic skin options

New help files

Update supports proxy and displays progress

Search presets in system internals fix dialog
Bug fixes:

Improved handling of cookies and temporary internet files

More protection against error messages

Error messages now display in results list to be included in bug report

RAS file problems fixed (RASAPI.DLL or similar not found)

Problem with Ahead Nero usage tracks fixed

Bug report settings loaded on program start

Windowstate (for example Maximized) will be saved and restored correctly now

Unavailable categories are now disabled during scan

Already downloaded updates can’t be selected again

Fixed problems with selection/deselection context menu items

If update fails, an error will be displayed now

Opera cache directory detection improved

Fixed integrated full update (program will be restarted after update)

Fixed EAccessViolation bug at program end
