Download Songbird for Android 1.6.2

Version 1.6.2 of Songbird for Android has been released. This open source music player is based on Gecko and is mainly developed for Windows and Mac OS X. Nowadays it is also available for Android and version 1.6.2 was released a few days ago. Songbird is being developed by Poti, short for ‘Pioneers of the Inevitable’. This group includes developers who were involved with Winamp and Yahoo Music Engine, among others. Version 1.6.2 ships with the following release notes:

We’ve made some big improvements to the new Discover features in the app. The friends list and following list are now much faster, and you can also see expanded artist images on the newly added artist pages. We’re making lots of great changes to this part of the app, so be sure to keep updating.
