Download Songbird 1.8.0
On Thursday, version 1.8.0 of Songbird was released. This open source music player is based on Gecko and is available for Windows and Mac OS X. There are also versions for Linux and Solaris, but they are not officially supported yet. Songbird is being developed by Poti, short for ‘Pioneers of the Inevitable’. This group includes developers who were involved with Winamp and Yahoo Music Engine, among others. More information about the possibilities of this program is on this page to find back. - MPEG-4 and WMV encoding support
- Video playback support for the Mac
