Download Snagit 2024.1.1

TechSmith has released version 2024.1.1 of Snagit. With this program, that for both Windows as macOS is available, images, text, moving images and web pages can be captured and edited. Effects such as perspective, spotlight and magnify can be applied. Texts, arrows and circles can also be added for clarification. The screenshots can be saved as images or imported directly into various programs such as Word and PowerPoint. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

• Snagit now supports purchasing a software license as a subscription, enabling a lower initial cost for users.

Updates for IT Administrators

• Replaced Unity with DryIoc 5.4.3.0, as Unity has reached end of life and is no longer supported.
• Updated WiX to version 3.14 to address CVE 2024-24810, where a local attacker could elevate privileges when the Snagit installer is running.

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where special characters in Windows usernames could prevent Snagit startup.
