Download SmartFTP 4.1 build 1337

Smartsoft has released version 4.1 build 1337 of its ftp client SmartFTP. SmartFTP is a very extensive ftp client. It includes support for secure connections via tls and ssl, server-to-server communication via fxp, error checking via xcrc, and various nat and upnp environments. The program is available in the flavors Home, Professional and Ultimate. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

• Scheduler: Manually executed tasks do no longer block the main thread
• Updated zlib to 1.2.8
• Updated Italian translation

• S3: Preserve file time for transfers
• FTP: Improved keep alive

Changes in version 4.1 build 1322

• Added option to enable TCP no delay socket option. This might be useful for terminal connections.
• Terminal: Full screen bar is now high dpi aware
• Scheduler: New action task panel
• Updated UI library
• Support for Windows 8.1 Preview (start SmartFTP from the desktop shortcut the first time)
• Fix: Various (non-serious) GDI handle leaks

• Transfer Queue: Significantly reduced CPU usage for transfer queue control UI updates.
• Compiled with Visual Studio 2013 Preview

Changes in version 4.1 build 1326

• SSH: Added support for AES-GCM authenticated encryption (aes128-gcm@openssh.com, aes256-gcm@openssh.com). These ciphers are available starting with OpenSSH 6.2.

Changes in version 4.1 build 1332

• SSH: Added support for hmac-sha2-256 and hmac-sha2-512
• FIPS 186-3 compliance (on Windows 8 or higher).

• Fix: HTTP: Uploads with digest authentication enabled
• HTTP: Switched from Microsoft’s digest authentication implementation to a custom implementation.
• HTTP: Chunked transfer encoding is only used if total size is not known in advance
