Download SmartFTP 4.0 build 1214

Smartsoft has released version 4.0 build 1209 of its ftp client SmartFTP. SmartFTP is a very extensive ftp client. It includes support for secure connections via tls and ssl, server-to-server communication via fxp, error checking via xcrc, and various nat and upnp environments. The program is available in home and professional flavours. The latter offers as extras including secure-ftp, file encryption and the ability to use scripts. Below you can find everything that has changed since the previous entry in the Meuktracker:

Changes in vrsion 4.0 build 1209:

• Windows XP: Added workaround for systems where the AppData value in the “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders” registry key does not exist
• Updated UI component
• Filters: Added case sensitivity flag, contains, starts with, ends with to filter control (transfer->ascii/binary, proxy->exceptions, transfer->priority, shellview)
• Filters: Selection Groups now support advanced filters
• Fix: Regression in Bulk Rename
• Remote Browser: Folders that are cached do no longer have a ghosted icon. The ghosted state is used to indicate that an item has been “Cut”.

• Fix: Tab handling in preview control
• Fix: Folder content in Quick Folders menu were not shown
• Fix: Local Browser: Missing items in context menu
• Favorites: Implemented new directory watcher
• Remote Browser: Updates in tree control

• Remote Browser: Windows 7: Using native namespace tree control (improved performance and decreased memory usage)
• Fix: Bug: 152
• FTP: Workaround for servers (eg Serv-U) not sending the zlib end stream tag
