Download Skype for Windows 2.6.0.67 beta

After several public previews, version 2.6 of Skype for Windows has now entered the official beta trajectory. Today version 2.6.0.67 beta has been released and the download can be found here. With Skype, what for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and the Pocket PC available, calls can be made free of charge to other Skype users, or to landlines and mobiles at very competitive prices. The biggest change in version 2.6 is a new audio library, which may no longer work (properly) with some hardware. At Skype, however, they believe this development is necessary to guarantee sound quality in the future. The full changelog for this release is as follows:

• Mood messages was not show when name too long
• Long mood message and its tooltip did not fit to window
• Quick Filter : closing button was out of position
• ‘Call’ button was disabled when conf call chosen in call history
• “Start Skype when computer starts” was always checked
• Line break in mood message showed weird in chat

Known issue:

• API: GET/SET MUTE commands don’t give a reply
• API: after joining calls to conference VIDEO_(SEND|RECEIVE)_STATUS RUNNING is falsely reported
