Download SILC Client 1.1 beta 2
For secure online conferences you can use the protocol Secure Internet Live Conferencing, better known by its abbreviation SILC. The design is aimed from the outset to create a secure environment and includes many features of IRC and IM protocols. Support for multimedia messages is available and it can also be used for video and audio conferences. SILC Client is, as the name suggests, a client application for establishing a connection with a SILC environment. The developers have released the second beta version of SILC Client 1.1 with the following announcement:
An entirely new version of SILC Client, the version 1.1 Beta2, is out. This is still in beta and can still have some issues. If you encounter any problems please report them either by sending bug report to [email protected] or fill out a bug report at http://silcnet.org/support/bugs.php.
The 1.1 is not full of new features, instead it is based on new rewritten client library and the upcoming SILC Toolkit 1.1. There are still couple of missing features that will appear in later beta releases.
