For secure online conferences you can use the protocol Secure Internet Live Conferencing, better known by its abbreviation SILC. The design is aimed from the outset to create a secure environment and includes many features of IRC and IM protocols. Support for multimedia messages is available and it can also be used for video and audio conferences. SILC Client is, as the name suggests, a client application for establishing a connection with a SILC environment. The developers have released version 1.0.4.1 with the following changes:
