The Shareaza Development Team yesterday released a new beta release of its eponymous p2p file sharing program in the form of version 2.2.3.0. Shareaza allows files to be exchanged over the EDonkey2000, Gnutella, Gnutella2 and BitTorrent networks. The program has been tinkered with for a long time and the complete changelog is therefore big. The developers themselves call this version ‘mainly a bug fix release’. More than 200 bugs have been fixed, but new functionality has also been added:

• Improved spam filtering
• UPnP for automatic port forwarding
• Collection Wizard
• improved Ghost Files support
• Browse Host windows are saved between sessions just like searches
