The SecureW2 program allows you to connect to 802.1x/EAP networks, both wireless and wired. Using this standard, you as an administrator can determine exactly who has and who does not have access to your network. Without successful authentication of the client via EAP, the network switch will block all data traffic from the client. Many colleges and universities use this standard in conjunction with SecureW2 to regulate wireless access to the network. After a long period of silence, the developers of the program have breathed life into further development resulting in the first release candidate of SecureW2 3.2.0. The list of changes looks like this:

Version 3.2.0 RC1:

• SecureW2 installer pre-configuration (SecureW2.inf) now works with Windows XP Service Pack 2
• SecureW2 installer supports pre-configuration of Authentication and Encryption settings for wireless networks
• Improved language selection in SecureW2 installer
• SecureW2 logging uses standard Windows trace functionality
• Minor bug/fixes
