Download Scribus 1.3.3.5

Scribus is an open source program aimed at all things desktop publishing. It can be used for editing and formatting documents for printing purposes, which can then be saved as PDF or Postscript. The developers have released version 1.3.3.5 which is downloadable as source code or already already compiled for among others Sue Linux 10.1 and Windows. The included announcement looks like this:

Version 1.3.3.5:

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.3.3.5. This release is purely a further bug fix release to the recently released 1.3.3.4. In particular, there are more SVG import and rendering fixes, including enhancements to imported text from SVG. There were fixes and improvements in the Story Editor, Undo/Redo and UI translation updates including new Greek and Bretion translations. Some PDF and PSD import improvements were backported from 1.3.4. Scribus now *requires* libtiff and the littlecms libraries.

Version 1.3.3.4:

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.3.3.4. This release is purely a further bug fix release to the recently released 1.3.3.3. In particular, there are a number of SVG import and rendering fixes, including better support for gradients in imported SVGs. Also there were fixes and improvements in the Story Editor and Undo/Redo and UI translation updates. Scribus now requires libtiff and the littlecms libraries.

Version 1.3.3.3:

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.3.3.3. This release is purely a further bug fix release to the recently released 1.3.3.2. For this release a joint team from Presspeople and Angulo Sólido has contributed with funding, testing, feedback and quality assurance for specific improvements and developments in Scribus. This work, done in the context of a Scribus pilot project is now fully integrated into Scribus’ code base, benefiting all the forthcoming releases. In particular, there are a number of color management improvements, text frame fixes, font handling fixes and UI translation updates. Scribus now will detect and use the ps2write device for improved PS2 level printing on all platforms.

Version 1.3.3.2:

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.3.3.2. This release is purely a further bug fix release to the recently released 1.3.3.1. In particular, there are a number of stability fixes for Windows, some compatibility changes for Qt 3.3.6 and a fix for a long standing issue with certain files not displaying correctly on Adobe Reader for Linux. The latter is due to an undocumented change in Adobe Reader 7.x This release also adds new language translations: Dzongkha and Greek.

Version 1.3.3.1:

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.3.3.1. This release is purely a bug fix release to the recently released 1.3.3. The rationale is that there will be substantial core code changes in the next 1.3.4 and 1.3.5 releases, so the team has branched 1.3.3 to provide a stable usable development version.
