Download Sandboxie 5.26

Version 5.26 of Sandboxie was released a few days ago, the third stable release of the 5.x series. With this program it is possible to run programs under Windows in a protected environment. That way, changes made by programs like Internet Explorer are easy to undo. In addition, there is no risk that important parts of the operating system will be affected. Sandboxie can be used on Windows XP and above, and a license costs 25 euros for one year. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

• Fixed Firefox sandbox content level 2+ issues related to audio, video, printing and crashes [more info].
• Fixed Firefox “SBIE2205 Service not Available: CreateDesktop” [more info].

• Improved compatibility for Firefox “Allow direct access to Firefox passwords” [more info].
• Fixed BSODs and hangs related to Windows 10 Insider v17666 (This is the latest FR version supported in this build) [more info].
