Download Rufus 3.8
Version 3.8 of Rufus has been released. Rufus is a Windows program that can be used to create self-starting USB sticks. Useful, for example, to install an operating system, which is faster from a USB stick than from a CD or DVD, to update the bios or to access a system that no longer wants to start. Incidentally, there are a large number of tools with which this can be done, but Rufus claims to be one of the fastest of its kind. Since version 3.0, the program has been given a slightly different look and support for Windows XP and Vista has been dropped. Version 3.8 fixes the following two issues:
Changes in version 3.8:
- Fix regression where some ISOs (Debian) would produce a Syslinux error when booting in BIOS mode
- Fix potential 0xC0030057 errors when trying to create a persistent partitions on a non-FIXED drive
