Download Rufus 2.13.1081
Version 2.13 of Rufus has been released. Rufus is a Windows program that can be used to create self-starting USB sticks. Useful, for example, to install an operating system, which is faster from a USB stick than from a CD or DVD, to update the bios or to access a system that no longer wants to start. Incidentally, there are a large number of tools with which this can be done, but Rufus claims to be one of the fastest of its kind. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:
Changes in version 2.13
- Preserve ‘GPT for UEFI’ option if the user changed it before selecting an ISO
- Fix unwanted notification sound when closing with the X button
- Fix inability to restore the minimized application after a popup is displayed
- Fix an issue when trying to install Syslinux/NTFS twice in a row
- Work around Microsoft’s inconsistent casing of device IDs during device enumeration
- Work around Microsoft’s aggressive locking of partitions in Windows 10 Creators Update
- Restrict write sharing permissions when accessing a device
- Update libcdio and GRUB 2.0 to latest
