Download RSSOwl 2.0 Milestone 9 rc2

The RSSOwl program can retrieve the latest news from various RSS, RDF and Atom feeds over the Internet. Searching for news items is done via the search function and thanks to the tabbed interface you can keep an overview of all the news on offer. The developer has restarted development for RSSOwl 2.0 and has chosen to use the Eclipse Rich Client Platform to use as a substrate. As a result, RSSOwl can be used as a standalone program or as an extension of eclipse being used. The developer has released the second release candidate of RSSOwl 2.0 Milestone 9 with the following announcement:

RSSOwl 2.0 M9 Release Candidate 2 now available
BWe are happy to announce that RC2 of Milestone 9 is now available for download. We consider this build feature complete. Please report feedback directly to dev.rssowl.org. Noteworthy features include:

• New quick way of assigning Labels to News
• Support for Phrase Searches
• Improved Notifier
• Multi Tabbed Browsing
• Improved and secured embedded browser
• Secure credentials with a master password
