Sysinternals, now owned by Microsoft, has released a new version of its RootkitRevealer. This program is capable of so-called root kits to reveal. Once the program is launched, it scans the system for the presence of rogue software trying to hide. RootkitRevealer became famous for discovering Sony’s daring DRM software during a routine check on Mark Russinovich’s system. No further information can be found on the Microsoft website about what has changed in this version.
