Download ReiserDriver Prerelease 2
Several flavors of file systems are available, such as NTFS† ext2† ext3 and ReiserFS† For the latter, a project has been available on Sourceforge for some time where they are working on support for the ReiserFS file system on the Windows NT/XP platform. The project has been given the name ReiserDriver and can only read files on this file system. The second prerelease has been available for a few days now with the following announcement:
The second pre-release of ReiserDriver is now available, with MANY bug fixes and improvements. The build is now feature complete. This version should be relatively stable, and is in need of plenty of testing love! It is the last planned pre-release before the final release on August 9th.
It should support all ReiserFS 3.6 partitions (sorry, no 3.5 support yet). However, codepage support and support for very large files remain untested. Since the driver is read-only, there is no risk for damage to your ReiserFS data.
Changes:
- Added support for large directories, and non-null terminated filenames.
- Fixed out-of-order blocks for large files, excessive BDL allocation, and bugchecks on unnecessary NotifyDirectoryChange.
- Switched to release build.
