Piriform has released version 1.15.327 of Recuva. The name of the program is an alternative spelling for the English word ‘recover’, and that is exactly what the program does: trying to recover deleted files on, for example, the hard drive or memory card of a digital camera or mp3 player . The program is free for both private and commercial use and works with all versions of Windows except Windows NT. Version 1.15.327 is the first version of Recuva to be bundled with the Yahoo toolbar, something Crap Cleaner has been doing for some time. Fortunately, just like they do with Crap Cleaner, Piriform offers alternate builds where this optional adware is omitted from. The changelog, where bundling with the Yahoo toolbar has been painstakingly omitted, otherwise only mentions minor changes and improvements:
