Piriform, maker of the Crap Cleaner rubble cleaner, is developing a new program called Recuva. This should be pronounced ‘Recover’, the English word for recover, and that immediately tells you what the program is doing; getting back files accidentally deleted from computer. But it doesn’t stop there, because it can also handle, for example, the memory card of digital cameras and MP3 players. At the moment the program has only been tested with WIndows XP and 2000, but there is a good chance that it will also work on other versions of Windows. Version 1.01.021 beta was released yesterday and the list of changes so far looks like this:
