Download Rainmeter 2.5 r1806 beta

A new version from the 2.5 development arm of Rainmeter has been released. This program can display all kinds of information on the desktop in real time, such as free hard disk space, network activity and whether there is new email. Functional applets can also be used to, for example, make notes or send tweets. Version 2.5 can handle older themes and skins, so the new version can be installed without any worries. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

AddPing:

• Added FinishAction to plugin. Action to execute as soon as a successful value is returned, or when the number of milliseconds set in the Timeout option is reached.

Changed Input Text:

• Updated to current Rainmeter API. Options in plugin can now use dynamic variables.

Fixed Input Text:

• Fixed issues with handle leaks caused by threading.
• Fixed an issue that prevented input using a language IME in the field.

Added FileView:

• Added Recursive=2 option. Allows recursive indexing of files in a folder tree. Folders are ignored with this option. Plugin commands FollowPath and PreviousFolder are disabled, and ShowFile, ShowFolder, and ShowDotDot options have no effect.

Changed FileView:

• Drives are now sorted.
• Drives are now counted as folders for Type=FolderCount.
• Folders now return dates and times.

Added Plugin API:

• Added new RMG_SKINNAME and RMG_SKINWINDOWHANDLE options to RmGet() to plugin SDK.
