A new development version of Rainlendar has been released. With this program it is possible to display a calendar on the desktop. Rainlendar is available for Windows, Linux and OS X, and is completely customizable to make. For example, the language and appearance can be adjusted, an alarm can be set and a todo list can be kept up to date. Rainlendar is available in a free Lite and a paid Pro version. The latter, which costs about ten euros, offers the possibility to share the calendar with others and has support for synchronization with Outlook and Google Calendar. beta build 149 includes the following changes and improvements:

Install instructions for Windows:

  • Make a backup (File->Backup in Rainlendar’s manager dialog)
  • Download the zip file
  • Uncompress the contents of the zip over your current Rainlendar installation (C:\Program Files\Rainlendar2)
  • Download and install the Visual Studio 2015 runtime (unless you’ve done it already)
  • Run Rainlendar2.exe
  • Changes:

    • Fixed offset problems with context menu and generic list item.
    • Custom categories did not work when the Shadow4 was in large mode.
    • Events with active alarms remain in the event list.
    • Alarm can be dismissed from the event list.
    • Added option to show Rainlendar in the Windows taskbar
    • Google Calendar now supports custom audio files
    • Added snooze menu and large versions for Savannah and Chromophore
