Download QuickTime Alternative 1.48 & 1.50b1

Two new versions of QuickTime Alternative have been released on K-Lite Codec Resource Site. The first is in the familiar format and has been given version 1.48. The second has the new codecs from the new QuickTime 7 on board and is still in beta status. With this new codec it is possible to watch videos in H.264 format, among other things. However, QuickTime 7 no longer supports Windows 98 or Me, making 1.48 the last version with support for older Windows versions. The changelog of both versions looks like this:

• Based on QT 7.0.2.38
• Windows 9x is no longer supported (by QT 7)

Changelog 1.47 -> 1.48:

• Removed third party plugins (ipix, zoomify, etc.)
• Added Unattended Install Maker
