Download QT Lite 3.0.0 beta 3
A new version of QT Lite can be picked up on the Codec Guide website, this time a beta. QT Lite makes it possible to play content in Apple’s QuickTime format without having to install Apple’s software first. QT Lite ships with the latest version of the QuickTime codecs and plug-ins for the Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, Mozilla, and Google Chrome web browsers. In version 3.0.0 the QuickTime components have been updated to the latest version, but this does not yet work well in combination with Media Player Classic:
QT Lite will allow you to:
- Play QuickTime movies that are embedded in webpages.
- Download HD QuickTime trailers (using the included MOV Download Tool)
- Play QuickTime files in Media Player Classic or ZoomPlayer…
Features of QT Lite 3.0.0:
- QuickTime base components [version 7.64.17.73]
- QuickTime ActiveX Plugin
- QuickTime plugin for Opera/Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape/Google Chrome
Changes in QT Lite 3.0.0 beta 3:
- Updated QuickTime components to version 7.64.17.73
- Known bug: the included QT framework does not work in combination with MPC. However, it does work with the full QuickTime installation. If you have an idea what is missing in QT Lite, let us know
