Download qBittorrent 4.1.6

Version 4.1.6 of qBittorrent has been released. This open source torrent client has versions for Windows, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD, and shows no ads. The program is with Qt developed and based on libtorrent (raster bar) and boost. The program is the brainchild of French student Christophe Dumez, who has been working on it since early 2006. Today it is maintained by the community.

In version 4, among other things, the switch from Qt4 to 5 has been made, and the program has been given a new look and logo. Furthermore, the program can be used in portable mode, torrents can now also be shared for a certain time and not only until a certain percentage is reached, and the screen in which you can create torrents yourself has been overhauled. In version 4.1.6 the following changes and improvements have been made:

Fixed:

• Force recheck multiple torrents one by one in all possible cases. Closes #9120
• Don’t query Google for tracker favicons, for privacy reasons
• Work around the crash occurred in QTimer. Closes #9985
• Increase the .torrent file download size limit to 100 MiB
• Disable download tracker favicons by default. Works around reported crashes in Linux. Closes #9667

• Separate URL components before percent decoding. Allow special characters in query string parameters. Closes #9116

• Display warning when Javascript is disabled
• Fix translatable strings
• Correctly handle ‘+’ sign in x-www-form-urlencoded data. Closes #10451
• Remove closed connections immediately. Closes #10487
• Fix “Create subfolder” option is not working. Closes #10392

Search:

• Make num enter key work the same as return in searchjobwidget

Linux:

• Make window title bar icon work in Wayland
• Update appdata.xml file

macOS:

• Fix progress bar drawing by using different style than native
• Updated and cleaned up fields in Info.plist
