Download PuTTY 0.81

Version 0.81 of PuTTY has become available. PuTTY is one of the most popular telnet and ssh clients, which makes it possible to remotely manage a computer over a secure connection. Originally the program was only available for Windows, but nowadays there are also clients for the various Unix platforms. Due to an issue, Windows users are recommended to uninstall the old version first. The changelog for this release can be found below.

Changes in version 0.81:

• Security fix for CVE-2024-31497: NIST P521 / ecdsa-sha2-nistp521 signatures are no longer generated with biased values ​​of k. The previous bias compromises private keys.
