PowerArchiver 2007 is a comprehensive archiver that can handle the most common archive types such as 7-zip, cab, lha tar, gzip, bzip2, rar, arj, arc and ace. In addition, it can also read various CD and DVD images such as iso, bin, img and nrg and files encoded with yenc, uue and mime (base64). The developers of ConeXware are busy preparing PowerArchiver 2007 10.1 and have released the first beta version with the following list of changes:

We are pleased to announce the first beta release of PowerArchiver 2007 10.1. This is the first major update to PowerArchiver 2007 and includes a number of updates:

• Added first configuration screen for interface selection
• Added PA Starter option in Configuration
• Changed Configuration interface to tabbed interface for better look and feel for older systems
• Updated 7-zip engine to latest version
• Updated Unrar engine to latest version
• Updated Direct Skin engine to latest version
• Other minor improvements

Because this is a beta release of PowerArchiver, we do not recommend its use on production systems as it could still contain a few bugs.
